Cheering on The Wildcats

Well, we thought being decked out in our K-State outfit and hat from Aunt Amy would bring the Cats some LUCK. Guess that didn't work so good! But Mack looked stylish anyway in his new car seat. That was one of his last smiles in his new seat. He's not real happy about not being able to look over his shoulder and see mom driving anymore. But figured Aunt Amy will really dig these pics ......

Lunch With The Guys

Well, somehow we managed to miss photographs of any of the lovely ladies in Mack's life! None at the St. Pat's party and none at either of our two family dinners! What were we thinking? I guess we were trying to get as much time as we could that a photo of it slipped our minds. Sorry gals!! Well, we did luck out to have lunch with Grandpa, Uncle Scott and cousin Nick who was fresh off the plane from Mexico - thank you Grandpa for calling repeatedly to wake Nick up to come see us before you took us to the airport.

Visiting My Favorite Eat Spots in KC & My Favorite Waitresses !

We stopped at George's Pizza to say hello to Way. Sorry Way, I know this is not how your name is spelled - but the first time I asked her her name she said Way, as in "way to go" - so, Way it is!

Next we were off to Jalapeno's to see Grandma Betty. She offered to keep Mack and return him when he was 18. Hmmm? Well, we better keep him. Brad wasn't there to sign off. Betty's husband Dave made Mack a beautiful wooden step stool (of two different types of wood no less) which he so amazingly crafted that mack will be able to pass it to his kids and it will look brand new!

Chowing Down My Breakfast In Grandpa Vicious' Kitchen

Our trip to Iowa ...

While home we decided to hop in the car Sunday morning and head to Iowa and surprise the Town's. Brad's sister Toots happened to be in town as well from Cheyenne visiting her son Cody before he heads to the desert next month, so we borrowed the Suburban and loaded us all in. Grandpa Harold was happy to see Mack and how much he has grown since January! As if we weren't tired enough, we decided to take Cody and Toots to Stroud's for some chickennnnnn... long day, but were glad we made the trip!

Our Trip Home to KC ... and Iowa

We started the weekend at the St. Pat's party at the Wier's. Mack decided to take part in the fun and pretend to be drinking a different type of bottle. Don't worry, it was empty!

A rare moment of Al sitting still to allow Mack to tug on his collar and explore his feet. He normally runs fast away, away! Luckily, Mack just laughs. The second photo I was trying to capture how "red" Mack's face becomes when drinking a bottle. He insists on sucking the life out of the size 2 nipple, which is for a 3 month old! If i give him the size 3, you'd think I was taking the top off and pouring milk all over his face.

Visiting With "Flat Maguire" On The Deck

Mack received an envelope in the mail containing "Flat Maguire", a project by our friend Maguire Sullivan in Wichita. She is in the 2nd grade and was reading the book Flat Stanley, who becomes "flat" and is mailed all across the country, or other continents if he is so lucky, "visiting" other places. So Maguire mailed us her flat self ! We took our picture with her and then mailed her a postcard to school so everyone can see where she has visited. I sent Maguire off to the Cayman Islands for a visit with the Maxfield's !

Mack Enjoyed Spending The Day With Cousin Darby

Cousin Darby, his mom Holly and her friend and co-worker Kathy came for a visit in early March. Holly and Kathy took the Marta down to an autism conference so Darby spent the day with us! He has since told his mom he'd like to come back (I have a feeling this was like a day at grandma's - cartoons, cookies, and most importantly, me letting him stay in his pj's on his day off from school) Mack continues to amaze me how much he looks like his Uncle Scott !

Mack's trip to Tybee Island & Savannah, Georgia

Brad told Mack it took him 30 yrs to see the Atlantic Ocean and Mack is seeing it at 8 months :)
