Splish Splash!

Swimming! Or... Splashing

Today was Mack and I's official first time in a pool TOGETHER. I can't believe it, 13 months and 3 days after birth. Very sad for the gal who likes the water. He did get in for a few minutes on 4th of July with our realtor friend here Mary, at her pool. So today we went swimming with the Decker's (Angie, Blake and Payton)- Mack was in hog heaven and had a ball, though his splashing is out of control so we had to limit his time in there for fear he'd drink too much of it!

Walking Around...

Video last Saturday walking around and watching the rain fall outside...

More !!!!!!!!!!

This face means, give me more cantaloupe dangit !! Current favorite foods are fruit of any sort, green beans are a pretty good option too - cold, out of the can. Mac n cheese always a hit. Doesn't want plain turkey or meat so much, he likes the roasts or sauteed meats with vegetables, something with flavor and spice. Guacamole, will eat by the spoonful, like his parents. Still no sippy cup, I believe he will go to college transitioning from one bottle to the next.

Road Rash...

Well, as I mentioned, we were off Saturday morning to pick blueberries. Mack was uncharacteristically dressed in sandals - which he quickly worked out of in the car. Could it have been the lack of blood flow to his feet as I had them strapped so tightly to prevent a Houdini? Needless to say, as we were loading the car up, he was walking around in the garage and decided to head out on his own, DOWN the driveway in these shoes, so down he went, bascially in a somersalt. Face plant. Amazingly only cried for no more than 10 seconds. Tilley and I saw him cry harder and longer after falling off the ottoman on to the carpeted floor. Go figure.

I love BLUEBERRIES!

Definitely Mack's food of choice, FROZEN blueberries. Can't get enough of em. Mom, however, does not like the stained fingernails that make him look like he's been working on an engine all his life. This past weekend, we went to a u-pick-em blueberry farm. He wasn't as impressed with them straight off the tree, seems to like them frozen hard. Although he was attempting to pick his own from the stroller.

Brad's BBQ Future....

Brad was the talk of the neighborhood a few weekends ago when he parked his new BBQ trailer out front for the weekend. Many inquiries as to what tailgating machine that was. He was able to design this himself (for Graybar functions) as he has been designated the grill master. He hauled this to Gulfport, MS for the grand opening of a new Graybar branch. Was complemented in the fact that no one knew this was his first time not only with this equipment, but cooking for a crowd. Was even given kudos from a veteran of one of the major bbq circuits in the country.

Family Comes To Visit !

We were most excited to pick up the grandparents and cousin Tilley to spend a few days with us. We didn't do anything exciting, but were just glad to have them here. The videos are a couple days after his birthday, still crawling with the walking and stillll a little off balance. But now a month later he rarely crawls!

Mack Turns ONE

Flag Day it was. (Well, actually the day after, Mack decided to go to bed at 5pm on his birthday instead of his normal 6:30ish. He's a blue hair what can we say So he missed the cake) So, the next morning, cake was flying. Why I decided to give him a bath that morning, I don't know. After his first real attempt with cake in KC at his birthday party in May with the family - he was READY when the official day came. Fling it over here, over there, don't like that stuff clingin to my fingers. He amazingly flung it on dad's expensive shoes. Oh well, Dad didn't mind. Mom was the one a little one having a harder time with the cake art!

Battery ran out, so you missed a little cake eating. Here goes Part 2....
